FIELD: navigation.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the objects autonomous navigation methods using three-axis accelerometers and angular velocity sensors (AVS) without the use of external information sources, in particular, global navigation satellite systems and the Earth’s magnetic field. Method proposes the object motion modes determination: uniform or accelerated, as well as rectilinear or non-rectilinear. In the rectilinear uniform mode, the true course is calculated according to accelerometers data, which determine the pitch and roll angles, and AVS, which form the Earth angular velocity vector projections. In the other modes, selecting the intervals, during which the object’s angular velocity vector projections are constant, at each interval, according to the AVS data correcting the object’s longitudinal axis cosines, by which values the true course is calculated.
EFFECT: this invention allows to increase the moving object true course measuring accuracy.
