SUBSTANCE: invention relates to wireless communication. Data plane of communication system (100) comprises redirection module (140), service module (145), and input module (170), and the control plane of communication system (100) comprises control module (147). Input module (170) receives (8) an Internet protocol packet (IP packet) from peer device (180) including the destination IP address associated with mobile device (120). Input module (170) receives (9) from control module (147) a location value specifying radio network node (110) tied to the destination IP address. Input module (170) associates (10) the location value to the IP packet, the location value referring to the location tag name indicating radio network node (110) that serves mobile device (120). Input module (170) sends (11) the packet via redirect module (140) to radio network node (110), as indicated by the location tag value of the location tag.
EFFECT: technical result is to provide packet management in communication system (100) based on software-configurable network technology.
