FIELD: acceleration equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to acceleration engineering. Use of a ring hub of a longitudinal magnetic field on the anticathode to limit the expansion of the discharge channel in hydrogen in order to intensify the discharge density along the axis of the ion emission hole and making end bevels on the anode to eliminate possible anode-cathode short-circuits by sputtering the cathode and the anti-cathode.
EFFECT: technical result of the invention is to obtain a stable pulsed beam of hydrogen ions with a pulse frequency of 5–20 Hz pulse duration of 20–120 mcs and the amplitude of the ion beam current 20–170 mA.
