FIELD: measuring equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to measurement technology and can be used in systems for measuring flow rates of gaseous media. In the method, the airspeed meter contains a flow housing with a plate located perpendicular to the flow, inside which there are jet elements on its different sides in the flow, two on one side, one on the other side, connected by control channels in a series circuit, closed from the output of the last element to the input of the first element, and connected by supply nozzles to the flow, the output of the last jet element is connected by channels to the air-to-electric switch, and further to the flow velocity indicator, the atmospheric channels of the elements are connected to a common cavity connected with the oncoming flow through the slots in the housing.

EFFECT: expansion of the range of measurement of airspeed, measurement autonomy, simplification of the functional composition.
