SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an electrochemical cell comprising a first gelatinized ionic liquid film in contact with a first electrically conductive surface and a second gelatinized ionic liquid film in contact with a second electrically conductive surface. First gelatinized ionic liquid film comprises a first ionic liquid encapsulated within the first gel matrix. Second gelatinized ionic liquid film comprises a second ionic liquid encapsulated within the second gel matrix. First and second gelatinized ionic liquid films are in contact with each other.
EFFECT: electrochemical cell comprising a collecting device according to the invention and methods for manufacturing thereof are described.
