New analogues of rifamycin, effective for the treatment of drug-resistant bacteria, especially mycobacteria, as well as a method for the preparation of such compounds, a pharmaceutical composition based on them and a method for treating bacterial infections with their use. Proposed method for the preparation of 24-desmethylrifamycin S involves the conversion of 24-desmethylrifamycin B to 24-desmethylrifamycin S in the presence of copper chloride overnight at room temperature to give 24-desmethylriphamycin S.
EFFECT: antibacterial compounds against drug-resistant bacteria have been proposed.
