SUBSTANCE: invention relates to lifting devices, particularly, to passenger transport means and may be used in helical and liner escalators in high-rise buildings. In compliance with this invention escalator ventral vertical column is additionally equipped with, at least one horizontal guide rail arranged there outside. guide ways are secured at bearing frame furnished with extra rollers adjoining guide rail. Bearing frame cab rotate about central column axis and is equipped with drive. Entrance platforms located nearby top and bottom flexure sections are secured at bearing frame. Galleries are also attached to bearing frame. Guide rails move relative to bearing frame in one direction with steps. Entries are arranged in circle formed by radially outward moving gallery with minimum tolerable clearance. Surface of entries is located in one plane with that of moving entries.
