FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the machine building. Variator is made with a leading and driven cone pulleys and a wedge-shaped belt, the drive variator pulley has one movable flange. At one end of the shaft of the drive pulley, the thrust bearing is rigidly mounted, on the other end a fixed flange of the pulley is fixed rigidly. Between the thrust bearing and the fixed flange fixed to the shaft, there are first and second sleeves, that have side mating surfaces made with profiles that ensure the displacement of the second sleeve when the first bushing is rotated. First bushing is fixed to the thrust bearing with the possibility of rotation, the second bushing is mounted on said shaft with the ability to move and interact with said movable flange. In this case, the first bushing has the possibility of rotation when interacting with the control mechanism of the variator operation. Cam mechanism of at least one tension device for the wedge belt is connected to the first hub.
EFFECT: provides increased load capacity of the variator and increased compactness of the structure.
