FIELD: measuring equipment.

SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a vehicle weighing system for counting the number of axles before and after weighing an unloaded vehicle to determine whether the unloaded vehicle is correctly positioned during weighing. System to determine if the vehicle is correctly positioned during weighing comprises: a vehicle weighing area for weighing an unloaded vehicle having a plurality of vehicle axles, wherein the vehicle weighing area has a vehicle entry edge and a vehicle exit edge; a first vehicle axle counter that is included for counting the number of axles of the vehicle that have completely passed beyond the vehicle's edge of entry, before weighing the unloaded vehicle; and a second vehicle axle counter which is positioned to count the number of vehicle axles which pass completely over the vehicle exit edge; characterized in that the number of axles of the vehicle counted by the first and second counters is recorded in the weight certificate such that: (I) when the number of vehicle axles counted by the first and second counter units are the same, the unloaded vehicle is correctly positioned in the vehicle weighing area; and (II) when the number of vehicle axles counted by the first and second counter units are different, the unloaded vehicle is incorrectly positioned in the vehicle weighing area.

EFFECT: expansion of the arsenal of technical means for determining whether the unloaded vehicle is correctly located during weighing.
