SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to an air purifier. Purifier comprises a casing having an air inlet and air outlet; a plurality of flow channels provided in the interior of the casing in order to open in different air outlet positions; a plurality of air blowers configured for drawing in air from the room through the inlet and injecting air into the respective flow channels; a through hole open in the area of the peripheral wall of the flow channels on the path leading from the air blowers to the air outlet for connecting two of the flow channels, wherein the through hole is configured to ensure the flow of air flowing through one channel into the other flow channel and out of it; cleaning agent for cleaning air drawn in through the air inlet; and a plurality of adjusting devices configured to control the flow area for air blown out from the respective flow channels for flow through the outlet, separately in each of the flow channels; a controller configured to control adjusting devices; and a contaminant detection means for detecting airborne contaminants, wherein the controller controls flow rate increase, wherein at least one of the respective flow channels is closed or narrowed by means of a corresponding adjusting device.

EFFECT: this makes it possible to create an air purifier by which a sufficient amount of flow can be formed without increasing the base area of the air purifier and by means of which a rapid flow of air can be formed, when required, so that air can be effectively purified.
