SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to drilling technology, namely, to a method for assembling a drill cutter bit of a hull type. Before assembling the sections, the bit body is screwed by the connecting thread into the return coupling thread, made on the upper plane of the auxiliary device, freely moving a flat base on two axes on the plane of the assembly table to align the vertical axis of the machine spindle with the thread axis of the bit body, verified by inserting the conical end of the insertion spindle center into the conical centering hole of the bit body, coaxial with the axis of its thread. Installed position of the auxiliary device is rigidly fixed on the table of the machine by clamping bolts, it is possible to shift before fixing in the longitudinal and transverse grooves on the steps of the body of the auxiliary device and the assembly table. After removing the center from the spindle, a self-centering chuck is screwed onto its thread, in the jaws of which the mounting caliper-ring is rigidly clamped, which, after the separation of the sections before the contact of the cone cones of the cutter with its inner surface, ensures that the thread of the bit body and the axis of contact diameter of the cutter with the ring are aligned.

EFFECT: technical result consists in increasing the accuracy of assembling the bit sections by eliminating their radial runout.
