FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to an ethylene polymer which is a copolymer derived from ethylene and one or more C3-C20-alpha-olefin comonomers. Polymer has a non-uniform short-chain branching (SCB) distribution, a molecular weight distribution (MWD) of 4.5 to 14, the slope of the strain hardening line is greater than 0.75, the melt flow ratio (MFR) (I21/ I2) is greater than or equal to 8.33 + (4.17×MMP). Ratio of the weight-average molecular weight calculated using a CP detector to the weight-average molecular weight calculated using a PM detector (refractometric detector) Mw(CP) / Mw(PM) is between 1.4 and 3.0.

EFFECT: ethylene polymers of the invention have excellent processability and are applicable to any conversion process including polymer extrusion, injection moulding, blow moulding, and extrusion to form sheets.
