FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for forced diffusion treatment for a thermally insulating part made from foam plastic. Result is achieved by the process of forced diffusion of a thermally insulating part made of foam plastic, comprising heating the insulating part during the injection step to a temperature that exceeds ambient temperature, and simultaneous exposure of the insulating part to a gas atmosphere, demonstrating low partial pressures for molecular nitrogen, molecular oxygen, carbon dioxide and gases having a diffusion coefficient in the foam plastic greater than or equal to that of molecular nitrogen. Completion of the injection step occurs when the accumulated partial pressures of molecular nitrogen, molecular oxygen, carbon dioxide and gases having a diffusion coefficient in the foam plastic greater than or equal to that of molecular nitrogen in the insulating part, become less than the specified threshold value, or when the physical property of the insulating part related to said accumulated partial pressures reaches a predetermined threshold value or after a predetermined period of time.
EFFECT: preventing and/or overcoming aging of foam plastic.
