FIELD: electrical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical engineering and can be used for the manufacture of electrodes of chemical current sources, for example, for alkaline and acid batteries. Chemical current source from carbon fabric is galvanically metallized in the electrolyte by alternating asymmetric current with a ratio of amplitudes of cathode and anode current pulses, and the ratio of durations of cathode and anode pulses, determined individually for each type of electrolyte and carbon fabric, using a two-factor experiment at intervals γ=2÷4 and τ=0.09÷0.35, respectively, while the average value of the asymmetric alternating current is chosen to be twice as large as the requirements established for the electrolyte used, and the frequency of the alternating asymmetric current is chosen any in the range from 10 to 1,000 Hz.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to create a solid, thin, porous base of electrodes for starter batteries with any distribution of metal over the depth of the porous electrode.
