SUBSTANCE: group of inventions includes a ball member for a ball valve assembly; a ball valve assembly including the ball member, and a method for controlling the temperature of a ball element comprising a valve body. Ball member is pivotally disposed relative to the valve body about the pivot axis (B) and has a through hole defining a fluid passageway, the ball member having an outer wall facing the valve housing and an inner walls facing the through hole arranged such that a hollow space is formed between the walls. Ball member is configured to provide a seal with the first and second valve seats that are located on the diametrically opposite sides of the ball member. Ball member further comprising temperature controlling arrangement for injecting a temperature controlling medium into the space so that a temperature of the inner wall and/or outer wall can be controlled and a first stub shaft and a second stub shaft. First stub shaft extending from the inner wall along said axis of rotation (B), and said second stub shaft extending from the inner wall along said axis of rotation (B) on an opposite side of the through hole, wherein said shafts being integral with the inner wall and being designed to support the bearing racks.

EFFECT: technical result is the weight reduction of the ball member and improved valve.
