SUBSTANCE: humid air turbine plant includes a compressor; combustion chamber; turbine; exhaust heat recovery unit for exhaust heat recovery from the turbine to produce high-temperature moisture; fuel supply system having a fuel consumption control valve; exhaust gas temperature obtaining unit for obtaining the temperature of exhaust gases released during the driving of the turbine; combustion gas moisture index calculation unit for determining a moisture index contained in the combustion gas; upper exhaust temperature limit calculating unit for setting an upper exhaust gas temperature limit based on a combustion gas humidity ratio and a pressure ratio; exhaust temperature difference calculating unit for determining a difference between the upper limit of the exhaust temperature and the exhaust gas temperature; fuel consumption command value calculating unit for determining a fuel consumption command value using an exhaust temperature difference; and control command value output unit for outputting a command signal to the fuel consumption control valve based on the command value selected by the fuel consumption command selection unit. Method of controlling a humid air turbine unit is also presented.
EFFECT: invention aims to reduce the time required to start up and to prevent an excessive increase in thermal loads on the turbine blades.
