SUBSTANCE: dosage form for the treatment or prevention of pain in a non-narcotized person or a person under the influence of a sedative or an anesthetic is described. Dosage form comprises an effective amount of Neosaxitoxin (NeoSTX) ranging from 5 to 40 mcg in a volume of up to 120 ml and a concentration of 0.1 to 5 mcg/ml, a local anesthetic selected from the group consisting of Bupivacaine, Levobupivacaine, Tetracaine, and Ropivacaine in a concentration range of 0.1 % (1 mg/ml) to 0.5 % (5 mg/ml) and Epinephrine in a concentration range of 2 mcg/ml (1:500,000) to 10 mcg/ml (1:100,000). Method of treating or preventing pain in a human, comprising administering said dosage form, is also described. Triple combination of NeoSTX-bupivacaine-epinephrine provides a more prolonged local anesthesia than a double combination of NeoSTX-bupivacaine.

EFFECT: dosage forms of the invention provide prolonged analgesia lasting for two to three days.
