FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to traumatology and neurosurgery, and is aimed at increasing the effectiveness of laser puncture treatment of degenerative-dystrophic diseases of the spine. For the purpose, percutaneous entry to the L5-S1 intervertebral disk is performed by percutaneous puncture under fluoroscopic control. Insertion point of the surgical instrument is determined 2–3 cm lateral to the spinous process of the vertebra S1 in the projection of the base of its diapophysis. Then the instrument is inserted into the base of the diapophysis; it is held at an angle of 30–45° to the horizontal plane and 15–30° to the axial plane, medial to the upper edge of the posterior parts of the S1 vertebra body through the base of the diapophysis and the root of the vertebral arch in the L5-S1 intervertebral disk. Thin-walled puncture needle is used as a surgical instrument, inside which the optical fiber is placed. At needle passing through the bone structure through the fiber laser radiation is fed with a capacity of 1–7 watts.
EFFECT: method allows to get rid of pain associated with the facet joint in the treatment of degenerative-dystrophic diseases of the vertebral discs.
