SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of transport machine engineering. Optical device contains an optical unit, a heating unit, an opening and closing unit and a controller. Optical unit is placed with a closed space located between the optical unit and the windshield, and receives information from outside the vehicle cabin through the windshield. Heating unit is configured to heat the closed space. Opening and closing unit is located in the air duct between the closed space and the internal space of the vehicle cabin and controls the exchange of air between the closed space and the internal space of the vehicle cabin. Controller controls the open and closed states of the opening and closing unit based on the outdoor temperature or the difference in humidity.

EFFECT: elimination of fogging of the optical device is achieved.
