FIELD: vessels and other floating crafts; equipment for ships.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to marine seismic exploration. Disclosed is a system for towing tow (12) comprising seismic sensor cables (2) in completely or partly ice-covered water (8), where towing vessel (1) tows the tow, and the tow at one side comprises deflector (4) pulling sideways away from tow (12), where support vessel (7) is directly connected to and tows deflector (4). Also disclosed is a method for towing tow (12) comprising seismic sensor cables (2) in completely or partly ice-covered water (8).
EFFECT: technical result consists in improving the reliability of the system for towing a tow, comprising seismic sensor cables and increasing the efficiency of the method of seismic exploration.
