SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of geophysics and can be used to conduct marine seismic operations in zones covered by ice. According to the claimed solution, marine seismic equipment for a ship, the apparatus comprises a plurality of towed components receiving seismic data, the towed components being towed by the ship in a horizontal arrangement and loaded to the first levels below the surface of the water, at least one first transceiver located on the ship, wherein at least one first transceiver emits a first signal and detects first position information of the towed components in a horizontal arrangement along the first signal, and at least one second transceiver towed from the vessel and immersed in a second level below the surface of the water, wherein at least one second transceiver radiates a second signal and detects a second information about the position of the towed components over the second signal. Seismic vessel equipment also includes a processor processing the first and second position information, and generating data on the position of the towed components in a horizontal arrangement for binding to the acquired seismic data, and the formed position data take into account the nonplanar network of towed components immersed in the first levels in the horizontal arrangement.
EFFECT: increased accuracy and informativeness of the data.
