Group of inventions includes: navigation system, communication interface and processing device. Navigation system determines the location of a first vehicle. Communication interface receives social network data through a data network. Social network data includes the location of a second vehicle. Processing device determines the proximity of the location of the first vehicle to the location of the second vehicle and generates a message based on the determined proximity.
EFFECT: providing updated user status in social networks.
