SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to vehicle armrests. Vehicle armrest assembly for a door and console includes a linear actuator, a support plate and a cover member. Linear actuator extends vertically from the base of the armrest and has a pin at the upper end. Support plate is located above the base of the armrest and has a slot. Pin slidably engages the slot to allow the support plate to be driven transversely along the slot and rotationally around the pin between a plurality of lateral and angular positions. Linear actuator drives the support plate vertically between a plurality of vertical positions. Cover member is located on top of the support plate.
EFFECT: improved convenience of use of the armrest.
