FIELD: radar ranging and radio navigation.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of radio direction finding in which the location of a radio source is determined by antenna devices that do not have a pronounced directivity by changing the antenna pattern in space. Said result is achieved due to the fact that the antenna pattern is scanned with respect to the radiation source, for example, to the right and to the left, while for the direction to the radiation source the line obtained as a result of dividing the scanning sector in half is selected. Direction to the radio emission source is the bearing formed by the angle between the direction to the origin, for example to the north, and the line passing through the center of the antenna and the point dividing the obtained sector of the scanning in half.

EFFECT: increasing the functionality of amplitude direction finders, increasing the accuracy of determining the direction of arrival of radio waves.
