SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the field of means for rinsing the oral cavity. Proposed aqueous composition for rinsing the oral cavity contains: (a) source of peroxide and (b) N^α-acyl-L-arginine alkyl ester salt. Preferably, the composition contains hydrogen peroxide and hydrochloride ethyl lauroyl arginine (ethyl ester hydrochloride N^α-lauroyl-L-arginine). It is proposed to use such a composition to inhibit the attachment of bacteria to the oral cavity and/or reduce the viability of bacteria in the oral cavity, as well as the use of the salt of alkyl ether N^α-acyl-L-arginine in an aqueous composition of a mouthwash containing a peroxide source to maintain stability of the peroxide source.

EFFECT: oral rinsing composition has both an effective whitening and an antimicrobial effect, while the whitening and antimicrobial action persists over time.
