FIELD: liquefaction or curing of gases.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a process for purification of a stream of hydrogen synthesis gas (100). Process comprises hydrogen for producing fresh synthesis gas for ammonia synthesis, said stream consisting of hydrogen, as well as carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, water and impurities in small amounts. Method includes cryogenic purification step (15) and, prior to said cryogenic purification step, synthesis gas dehydration step (14), wherein prior to said dehydration and cryogenic purification steps, the method includes step (13) for methanation of said stream (100) to convert carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide to methane and water, said cryogenic purification step comprising washing with liquid nitrogen.
EFFECT: technical result is the recovery of more heat.
