FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for impregnating a fiber preform with an impregnating composition. Liquid is directed to a structure, this structure including a chamber in which a fiber preform for impregnation is present, wherein the chamber is defined between a rigid support on which the fiber preform is placed and a wall, wherein the wall having a surface facing the fiber preform. In the chamber, there is an impregnating composition for impregnating the fiber preform. Liquid is directed to the wall, namely to its side, opposite to the chamber, wherein the wall having such a configuration that its surface facing the fiber preform retains its shape during the direction of the liquid, wherein the guided liquid provides sufficient pressure to move the wall towards the rigid support and impregnate the fiber preform with the impregnating composition.
EFFECT: invention provides the manufacture of parts from composite materials displaying low microporosity.
