FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a method for producing a hydrogen sulfide neutralizer and mercaptans that occur during the extraction and transport of hydrocarbon liquids through pipelines. Method includes obtaining a composition of hydrophobic acetal and/or hemiacetal based on hydrophobic and hydrophilic alcohols and any aldehyde, including paraform, or hydrophilic alcohol and hydrophobic aldehyde, which are dissolved in a water-methanol solution of aldehyde or lower aliphatic alcohol polyacetal. Formalin is used as a water-methanol solution of an aldehyde, hemiformal is used as a water-methanol solution of a semi-acetal of lower aliphatic alcohol, nonylphenol, neonol 9-4, neonol 9-6, 2-ethylhexanol, CORBS are used as hydrophobic alcohols.
EFFECT: proposed method allows to obtain a neutralizer having a high absorption rate in a hydrocarbon liquid.
