Data transmission method comprises: determining by the access point (AP) the size of the frequency resource that is required by the data area in the OFDMA PPDU of the uplink scheduled by the AP, and allocating an appropriate frequency resource RU for transceiving this data portion in the uplink OFDMA PPDU; determining by AP one or more fundamental channel blocks, in which the allocated frequency resource block RU is located; transmitting by the AP a data section in the uplink OFDMA PPDU on an allocated frequency resource block RU and transmitting, by the AP, at least some of the fields in the common signaling portion in the uplink OFDMA PPDU over certain one or more fundamental channels.
