SUBSTANCE: method comprises: receiving a physical layer data unit (PPDU), where the PPDU contains a signaling field and the signaling field contains preamble puncturing indicator information, wherein preamble puncturing indicator information comprises one or more indicators, wherein one indicator corresponds to one piece of preamble puncturing information and the preamble puncturing information contains the size and location of the preamble puncturing or there is no preamble puncturing; in which the signaling field further comprises a bandwidth field, and the bandwidth field contains bandwidth indicator information for indicating the bandwidth of the data packet; where in case the data packet bandwidth is equal to 160 MHz bandwidth, the preamble puncturing indicator information contains the first indicator and the second indicator, where the first indicator indicates the preamble puncturing information in the sub-channel with the lowest frequency of 80 MHz in 160 MHz band; and the second indicator indicates the preamble puncturing information in the sub-channel with the highest frequency of 80 MHz in 160 MHz band; sending or receiving a data packet based on preamble puncturing indicator information.
