FIELD: biotechnology.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to biotechnology. Method for detecting toxicogenic Clostridium difficile (C. difficile) is proposed by amplifying DNA on the basis of incorporation into a chain, together with oligonucleotides, compositions and kits suitable for use in the present method. Method comprises bringing said sample into contact with at least one forward primer, at least one reverse primer and at least one chain-embedded oligonucleotide under conditions conducive to amplification of said target nucleotide sequence. Said primer and said chain-integrating oligonucleotide comprises a region complementary to said target nucleotide sequence. This chain-integrating oligonucleotide converts at least a portion of the target nucleotide sequence to a single-stranded state, that allows contacting said direct primer and a reverse primer.

EFFECT: ensuring high specificity and sensitivity of the method for detecting different target sequences of toxicogenic Clostridium difficile.
