SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the microbiological industry. Strain of bacteria Paenibacillus sp. Bg1, possessing the ability to use β-glucan as the single carbon source and synthesize β-xylanase, is deposited in the Russian National Collection of Industrial Microorganisms under the registration number VKPM B-13093. Strain of bacteria Paenibacillus sp. VKPM B-13093 can be used in the production of monoenzyme preparation.
EFFECT: invention allows to increase the β-glucanase activity.
