FIELD: biotechnology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to microbiology and biotechnology and relates to production of recombinant strains of yeast Pichia pastoris capable of producing xylanase. A recombinant yeast strain Pichia pastoris X2 of the VKPM Y-4607 containing a gene coding endo-1,4-β-xylanase from Paenibacillus brasilensis, and additional copies of the NAS1 gene from Pichia pastoris – a producer of xylanase.
EFFECT: invention widens the range of xylanase producers.
