SUBSTANCE: invention relates to pharmaceutical industry, in particular to a method for preparation of a substance from gonad mussels Mytilus galloprovincialis, which possesses antitumor activity. Method of obtaining a substance from the gonad mussels of M. galloprovincialis, which possesses antitumor activity, consists of the fact that from the mussels of M. galloprovincialis, 4–5 stages of maturity on a five-point scale are distinguished by raw gonads, crude gonads are homogenized in a chloroform : ethanol mixture, centrifuged, the residue is washed with water from non-lipid impurities, the chloroform fraction is evaporated in vacuo, hexane and an aqueous alcohol are added to the resulting lipid residue, mixture is shaken in a separatory funnel, the hexane fraction is separated and the water-alcohol fraction is extracted with hexane, the hexane fractions are combined and evaporated in vacuo to constant weight, under certain conditions.

EFFECT: above-described method allows to increase the yield of the final substance.
