FIELD: weapons and ammunition.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ammunition, which in the process of operation creates a false target, imitating the heated units of an aircraft, for protection against weapons with thermal guidance systems. Cartridge containing a metal sleeve with an electric igniter located at the bottom, pyrotechnic composition with a fragmentation module of ready-made destructive elements placed in the cavity of the sleeve and closed with a plug, in which the fragmentation module is made in the form of several cylinders nested into each other, the gaps between which are filled with pyrotechnic composition, and placed in the head part of the cartridge. Variant of the pyrotechnic cartridge is possible, in which the ready-made attack elements are made of a metal-polymer composition that is flammable from the combustion products of the pyrotechnic composition.
EFFECT: technical result consists in increasing the efficiency of the pyrotechnic cartridge of infrared radiation.
