SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a two-component vitreous coating composition, a method for its preparation and use. First component of the composition contains a mixture of silanes of formula R1n-Si-(OR2)4-n (I) in which R1 is selected from substituted and unsubstituted alkyl, substituted and unsubstituted cycloalkyl, substituted and unsubstituted heterocycloalkyl, substituted and unsubstituted aryl, substituted and unsubstituted heteroaryl, substituted and unsubstituted alkylthio groups, substituted and unsubstituted alkylamino groups, substituted and unsubstituted perfluoroalkyl, and substituted and unsubstituted haloalkyl, and R1 has 1–15 carbon atoms, R2 is C1-C3-alkyl, n = 0–4, and molar amount of "n" where 0.54≤n≤0.80. Second component contains an aqueous dispersion of functionalised nanoparticles, an inorganic and / or organic acidic or base catalyst. Components of the composition are not mixed with each other until its application.

EFFECT: composition is capable of forming a coating with high hardness and resistance to scratching, good thermal shock resistance, inertness to acid and stain formation, transparency for UV radiation, excellent adhesion to substrates in the form of metal and glass.
