FIELD: measurement; testing.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of substance analysis and relates to a method and system for analysing a liquid sample containing solid particles. Sample taken from a liquid stream is stained to colour the particles contained in the sample and fed to a first flow chamber equipped with means for separating the sample into a plurality of particles according to their dimensions or masses. Liquid stream is passed through the first flow chamber, which leads to the transportation of at least one set of particles to a second flow chamber. Set of particles is analysed by optical measurements, obtaining measurement signals characterising the number and properties of the particles. Obtained signals are processed to determine the key variables of each set of particles and to provide these variables in the form of analysis results of the sets of particle or the entire sample, representing the number, size and hydrophobicity of the particles.
EFFECT: technical result is enabling continuous determination in real time of the number of particles and their hydrophobicity for different sets of particles that make up a sample.
