FIELD: automotive industry.

SUBSTANCE: drive system for actuating at least one compressor. System contains gas turbine engine (101), made and installed with the possibility of actuating compressor (103). Gas turbine engine has hot end (101H) and cold end (101C). Load coupling (105) for connecting specified gas turbine engine (101) with compressor (103) is located at hot end (101H) of engine (101). Electric motor/generator (111) is located at cold end (101C) of engine (101). Electric motor/generator (111) is electrically connected to electric power system (G) and configured to work as a generator to convert the excess mechanical energy produced by gas turbine engine (101) into electrical energy, deliver this electric energy to the electric power system and as an electric motor to add additional drive power to compressor (103).

EFFECT: location of the engine/generator at the cold end in front of the gas turbine engine, that is to say at his inlet, lets, firstly, to use a smaller shaft for the specified generator, since in this case the generator should not ensure the transfer of all the torque from the turbine to the load, and, secondly, it provides the ability to carry out maintenance of the compressor easily, which is located at the end of the specified line.
