FIELD: lighting engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of lighting, in particular to LED illuminators that perform functions of both lighting and signaling, in particular for illuminating the area of space observed by a television camera. Technical result is achieved due to the fact that LED sources in the amount of not less than two, each of which has an immersion lens, concentrating the radiation in solid angle α, arranged in several lines parallel to each other, and placed at the vertex of the corresponding focon line, each with two mirrored surfaces, limiting radiation with an angle β, determined by the ratio of tg(α/2):tg(β/2)=16:9 or tg(α/2):tg(β/2)=4:3, and the protective cap-lens is made flat.
EFFECT: technical result is the formation of a close to a rectangular light spot of the illuminator corresponding to the image format of a television camera, namely 16:9 or 4:3.
