FIELD: electricity; chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a fluoride-ion battery and a method of manufacturing a fluoride-ion battery. Fluoride-ion battery contains: electrode layer, which includes the first metal element or carbon element and has the ability to fluoridate and defluoridate; solid electrolyte layer containing solid electrolyte material, wherein the solid electrolyte material includes a second metal element with lower fluorination potential and defluorination potential than these potentials of the first metal element or carbon element; and anode current lead, in said order; and the layer of anode active material is not present between the solid electrolyte layer and the anode current lead.
EFFECT: invention allows the creation of a battery with energy-generating elements (the cathode active material layer, the solid electrolyte layer and the anode active material layer) that can be formed by two types of structural elements: electrode layer and the solid electrolyte layer.
