FIELD: transportation; safety features.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a bumper of a vehicle with an active shock absorption. Device comprises directly bumper 1 fixed to body 2 of the vehicle and is provided with a mechanism for generating a return stroke in the form of piezoelectric sensor 4 fixed to the rear surface of the bumper for measuring short-time pressure pulses and fixed on the body of a power electromagnet with shock striker 9, introduced into the impact contact with the same surface of the bumper. Discharge circuit 10 is connected to the output circuit of sensor 4 with capacitor bank 11 connected to field electromagnet excitation coil 7. Sensor 4 is connected to circuit 10 by means of reed switch 12 with control winding 13.
EFFECT: active shock absorption of the kinetic energy when the vehicle collides with the obstacle is provided.
