FIELD: power engineering, possibly heat exchange apparatuses of regeneration systems of low and high pressure of steam turbines or heat exchange apparatuses of heat supply systems, for example for heating water due to steam condensation on tubes of heat exchange surface.
SUBSTANCE: surface horizontal type heat exchanger includes water chamber with branch pipes for inlet and outlet of heated water, housing with branch pipes for steam inlet and for outlet of condensate, tube system with vertical partitions, perforated tube for discharging non-condensed gases (air). Between tubes of heating surfaces of first and second, second and third, third and forth passages of heated water along all length of straight portions of tubes there are partitions mounted by inclination angles one to other and to horizon. Apexes of said partitions are joined with inner variable cross section box formed by means of vertical sheets and having openings in lateral sheets at level of tubes of first passage. Along part of height of inner box along its whole length additional outer box is mounted with gap. Lower edge of sheets of inner box is arranged under condensate level. Lower edge of outer box is arranged over condensate level.
EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness of heat exchanger operation due to intensified heat exchange provided by reduced thickness of condensate film on tubes of heat exchange surface, improved efficiency of discharging non-condensed gases.
