FIELD: motor vehicle industry.
SUBSTANCE: turbine comprises a housing surrounding the rotor of the turbocharger, and comprises inner and outer layers of sheet metal and a reinforcing element of sheet metal. Inner layer of sheet metal is the innermost layer of the housing and defines the boundary of a helical section. Outer layer of sheet metal is the outermost layer of the housing, wherein the outer layer of sheet metal is located at a distance around the inner layer of sheet metal, forming an intermediate space between the inner and outer layers of sheet metal. Reinforcing element of sheet metal is located inside the intermediate space and is connected to the inner and outer layers of sheet metal by welding or by means of bolts so that a threshold distance is maintained between the inner layer of sheet metal and the rotor. In another embodiment of the turbine, the reinforcing element comprises the main part of ribbed or corrugated sheet metal layers forming a predetermined pattern, having one of the following figures in cross section: hexagon, sine wave, square or triangle. Another invention of the group relates to a turbocharger, in which the turbine comprises a housing having an inner layer of sheet metal, which is the innermost layer of said housing and defines a helical section, an outer layer of sheet metal, which is the outermost layer of the housing, an intermediate space between the layers and the reinforcing element of sheet metal in the intermediate space. Reinforcing element has a hexagonal shape in cross section, wherein the outer side of the reinforcing element is connected by spot welding with the outer layer of sheet metal and the inner layer of sheet metal. Reinforcing element of sheet metal maintains a distance between the inner and outer layers of the sheet metal.
EFFECT: group of inventions allows to reduce the deformation of the turbine housing.
