SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a method for packing product (P), to device (1) for carrying out the method according to the invention, and to the use of the device for packing product (P). Method of packing a product located on substrate (4) comprises unwinding film (18) and moving film (18) to packing unit (8), inside which packing chamber (24) is formed. Method then includes gradually moving a defined number of trays into packing chamber (24) of packing unit (8), closing packing chamber (24) with film sheets held above respective substrate (4) with optional gas discharge from sealed packing chamber (24) and / or by injecting a gas mixture of a controlled composition. Method then includes heat sealing of film (18) with substrate (4) using one or more heaters, the heating surfaces of which are heated only for discrete and short periods of time. Device (1) for carrying out the method of the invention comprises a packaging unit, heaters connected to the packaging unit and connected to power supply and control units of the device.

EFFECT: technical result achieved when using the group of inventions is to ensure the reduction of energy consumption and at the same time effectively provide the heat necessary for heat sealing heat-sensitive, especially heat-shrinkable films.
