FIELD: packing and storage of cargoes or materials.

SUBSTANCE: packaging device comprises vacuum chamber (4) having elongated opening (5), conveyor (8) for receiving semi-closed packages (P) and for moving packages (P) relative to vacuum chamber (4) so that each package (P) located on conveyor (8) can have, during relative movement of semi-closed package (P) relative to vacuum chamber (4), end part (TP) with a hole passing through elongated hole (5), which is relatively movable inside vacuum chamber (4), while the main part (MP) relatively moves outside vacuum chamber (4). Packaging device (1) additionally comprises pumping device (9), smoothly communicating with vacuum chamber (4) for pumping gas present in semi-closed packages (P), and formation of evacuated semi-sealed packages (P), and heat-sealing device (13) for heat sealing of end part (TP) of each evacuated semi-closed package (P), thereby forming heat sealing packages (P). Packaging device (1) is also equipped with preheating unit (39, 40) located along the main direction of movement (M) before heat-sealing station (14). Heat sealing device (13) comprises sealing band (18) for guiding the end part (TP) of the evacuated semi-closed packages (P) along the main direction of movement (M) from preheating unit (39, 40) to heat-sealing station (14). Preheating unit (39, 40) serves to preheat heat-conducting path of sealing tape (18) intended for contact with said strip (TP2) of end part (TP) of each evacuated semi-closed package (P) and its preheating.

EFFECT: improved quality of sealing and efficiency of heat transfer.
