CAPSULE TYPE DEVICE FOR DRAINAGE IN PIPELINE Russian patent published in 2018 - IPC G01N1/10 

FIELD: oil and gas industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the oil industry and can be used for drainage in pipelines, supplying chemical reagent and loading/extrackting torpedoes in them. Capsule type device is installed on the horizontal section of the pipeline, consists of a body, a drum rotating inside the housing by turning the handle and the capsule. Device has two positions: working position – the liquid moves through the main channel, the position of extraction/loading of the capsule. In the operating position, the liquid flow moves through the main channel of the device or through a capsule installed in the drum of the device. At rotating the handle of the device by 90° the drum assumes a position in which the main channel is perpendicular to the pipeline, the liquid moves along the additional channel of the drum. In this position, the capsule is loaded / discharged into the drum. Capsule has locking elements that open when the position of the drum changes to the working position and closes when the capsule is positioned perpendicular to the pipeline.

EFFECT: increased representativeness of sampled liquid samples in pipelines, reduced costs of dosing reactants in pipelines and cleaning them using torpedoes.
