FIELD: oil industry, engineering of equipment for taking samples of liquid from pipeline, possible use whenever high precision is required during determining parameters of liquid pumped through pipelines.

SUBSTANCE: in the method for taking samples of liquid from pipeline, automatic sample taker with pipeline is connected through channel for transporting portions of samples from pipeline to automatic sample taker. Automatic sample taker is used to take portions of samples from pipeline through channel for transporting portions of samples from pipeline to automatic sample taker. In pipeline, taking of samples through probe is performed above the channel for transporting portions of samples from pipeline to automatic sample taker. Boundary, cutting a portion of samples during its taking by automatic sample taker, is positioned below point of sample-taking through probe. Device for taking samples of liquid from pipeline contains automatic sample taker, means for taking samples from pipeline, channel for transporting portions of samples from pipeline to automatic sample taker, sample accumulator from collecting portions of samples, taken by automatic sample taker. Means for taking samples from pipeline is made in form of probe, mounted above the channel for transporting portions of samples from pipeline to automatic sample taker. In automatic sample taker the boundary, cutting portions of samples is positioned below the point where samples are taken through probe in the pipeline, excluding a certain portion of channel for transporting portions of samples, when volume of aforementioned portion of channel does not exceed 0,3 of volume of sample portion being taken.

EFFECT: production of representing sample of liquid being pumped through pipeline.
