FIELD: soil science.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to soil science, namely to the study of the formation of a microcourse on the slopes of arable horizon using the point source method. For this purpose dry soil samples are sieved through a sieve and stacked in a removable inclined tray with a rough surface and a perforated bottom to separate the water that has filtered through the sample into the measuring tank to collect water and washed out soil. To ensure a constant head of a given flow rate, the Mariott vessel is used. Also, to improve the accuracy of measuring the dynamics of the process of forming the microcourse in space and time, the device is equipped with the laser triangulation sensor, which is mounted on the beam with the vertical support, to which the encoder is attached – the angular sensor with the ability to oscillate with a different frequency and amplitude in the horizontal plane above the investigated soil within the width of the tray.
EFFECT: invention provides modeling of the direction of the formation of the microcourse, the forecast of slope erosion and the development of measures to reduce the slope flow of atmospheric precipitation.
