SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a local hemostatic agent for stopping massive bleeding. Product contains chitosan salt, namely chitosan succinate or chitosan hydrochloride or chitosan ascorbate, sodium carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC-Na) and an antibiotic selected from the group of fluoroquinolones, namely, ciprofloxacin or pefloxacin or lomefloxacin in the following ratio, wt.%: Chitosan salt 56.00–74.92 %, CMC-Na 25–43.9 % and antibiotic 0.08–0.1 %.

EFFECT: tool is characterized by a high sorption capacity for blood, a short time of onset of hemostasis and increased antimicrobial activity.
