FIELD: test technology.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the abrasion test of materials and can be used in assessing wear resistance and in selecting techniques to strengthen parts with the required service life. Material of the test coating is applied to the working surface of the test sample and is worn by abrasion. Before wear by abrasion, mechanical polishing of the surface of the test sample is made, it is degreased and dehydrated, then it is sprayed with a layer of paint coating with reduced wear resistance and the thickness of the layer of the obtained coating is scanned by a magnetic induction method, thereby measuring the thickness of the coating at different points of the surface of the part. After wear of the abrasion coating, the thickness of the coating layer is repeatedly scanned at the same points and the values of the normal pressures acting at the abrasion process at different points of the surface of the test sample are estimated from the obtained size difference.

EFFECT: increasing the accuracy of measuring wear values for various points of the working surface of the part with the possibility of constructing diagrams of normal pressures, as well as reducing the time of observation when obtaining the final results.
